King's Cage Is Out!!!!
If you are connected in the YA community you would know that the 3rd book in the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard came out today!! It is a huge event in the YA book community because this fairly new author struck gold with her new series idea. I have personally been waiting for this book to come out for about a year so um I think that explains itself. I strongly encourage you to read the first book which is Red Queen. It's about a girl, Mare Barrow, who grew up in a world where people are divided by the color of their blood. Red Bloods and Silver Bloods. Not only blood defines them but the Silver Blood gives them powers while the Red Bloods are treated as slaves and peasants living in poverty. This world is also ravaged by war and Mare is turning 18 the age when the subscription is your only option if you aren't apprenticed. Through a crazy turn of events, she is thrust into the world of the Silver Bloods whom she hates. This book is one of fantasy, adventure, love, betrayal, and choices that have dire consequences. If you decide to go ahead and read the books, the order is Red Queen, Glass Sword, and now the new, King's Cage! It's never too late to start the series, but I warn you once you start I guaranty you will never stop. There will be sleepless nights, times of heartbreak and anger, but also times of tears and complete fangirling over parts too.
